Sachin back in Top 15 in ICC rankings

Sachin Tendulkar after his match saving innings his back in the top 15 in ICC rankings. Sachin played a waiting game and his century helped India to save a Test match. The other major changes in the rankings is that Jayawardena after a great 275 against India in the first Test overtook India’s Gambhir to grab the top spot.

Rahul Dravid is in 21st position. Sachin and Kevin Pieterson of England share the 15th place. Sachin very recently scored 30,000 runs in both Test and One Day International and I feel it will take ages for someone to come and break his record.

Dhoni wins the ICC ODI Player award

Ms Dhoni the Indian captain wins the ICC Cricketer of the year Award. This is the second consecutive year the Dhoni wins this award. The Indian captains consistent performance is the main reason for him to get this award. Dhoni was not present on the occasion to collect the award . Indian team is going on a lean patch and for three consecutive times India have made an early exit in the ICC tournaments.

Dhoni has also been declared as the captain for the ICC ODI and Test teams. India ‘s Gautam Gambhir became the ICC best test player of the year. India needs more consistency to be the best team in the world and for that to happen they need to perform has a team and not as individuals.

Gambhir moves up in the ICC Rankings

Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has moved up in the ICC Rankings to his career best of 4th spot.This was mainly because of his splendid show in New Zealand against the Kiwis.He played exceptionally well and he was main element for India's win the Test series.He played the longest innings by an Indian in abroad to save the second test against the Black Caps.

Along with Gambhir even Dhoni got raise in his rankings.Sachin and Dravid retained there respective positions.With all the Indian players performing Team Indian looks hungry for more.
