Sachin playing IPL final

Sachin is playing the IPL final which makes the chances for the Mumbai Indians brighter.The match is to start in another 10 minutes and CSK have won the toss and they have decided to bat first in this all important final.Sachin is playing with a split webbing and has been operated in his hand with 5 stitches which means Sachin will not be 100 percent fit. Well it will be a moral boost for Mumbai Indians especially with the crowd backing Mumbai and the master back I hope it will really be an interesting contest and I am looking forward to the match.

Dhoni and his men are up to the challenge of facing Mumbai Indians in their home turf and I guess this would be a very interesting clash and I would name this has the "CLASH OF TITANS".

Dhoni still No1 in ICC ODI Rankings

Indian Captain MS.Dhoni leads the ICC ODI Rankings for batsman. Earlier Dhoni was given the ICC ODI player of the year award. The other two Indians who are in the top 10 are Yuvraj and Sachin Tendulkar. Yuvraj is placed in at the second position and Sachin is at 9th place.

Indian team are placed behind the Aussies. The Australian team lead India by four points and this lead and significant difference in points is mainly because of their performance in the recent Champions Trophy.

Dhoni wins the ICC ODI Player award

Ms Dhoni the Indian captain wins the ICC Cricketer of the year Award. This is the second consecutive year the Dhoni wins this award. The Indian captains consistent performance is the main reason for him to get this award. Dhoni was not present on the occasion to collect the award . Indian team is going on a lean patch and for three consecutive times India have made an early exit in the ICC tournaments.

Dhoni has also been declared as the captain for the ICC ODI and Test teams. India ‘s Gautam Gambhir became the ICC best test player of the year. India needs more consistency to be the best team in the world and for that to happen they need to perform has a team and not as individuals.

IPL : Chennai Superb Kings badly needs a win

M.S.Dhoni the captain of Chennai Superb Kings and Stephen Fleming the coach of Stephen Fleming seen a thoughtful discussion as Chennai badly needs a win in the IPL to keep its hopes of making to the next round.Chennai has played 3 matches and won only 1 out of it.Other to matches Chennai did not loose badly.They gave a tough fight but that is not enough to beat the other teams.Will Chennai play well this time under the leadership of Dhoni and reach the semi-finals of th cup at least.We have to wait and see.

IPL Match 5 : Chennai Superb Kings win by 92 in runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore

Chennai Superb Kings won the toss and elected to bat.It was power hitting all the way by Hayden and Parthiv Patel.The first wicket of Patel fell only when the score was 106-1.Hayden scored 65 runs of 43 balls and this set the natch for CSK.Then some lusty hitting by Dhoni,Raina and Flintoff of at the end managed CSK to reach 179 in 20 overs.

Chasing this total Bangalore batted hopelessly.They last wickets in heaps.The pattern was to wickets at a time.Kallis who looked threatening went in 20's.Dravid played well but he ran out of partners.Murali bowled very well.So Bangalore could not ace the heat where all out for 87 runs.Thus CSK won the match by 92 runs.The man of the match was Murali for his splendid bowling performance.

Dhoni and Harbhajan skip Padma Shree awards

Dhoni and Harbhajan did not attend the Padma awrads though they where in the country.Harbhajan especially was in New Delhi for a ad shooting.But he did not go to collect the award.Criminal case has been filed on Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh with hurting fans and staying away from Padma Shree awards.

When Harbhajan was asked about this he said that he had some family issue which he had to attend.That was the reason for him missing the prestigious award from Pratibha Patil.

I personally feel that these players could have attended the function.Than such a prestigious award acting in ad shoot and earning money was more important for them

India No 2 in ODI ICC Rankings

Indian Team moved up in the ODI ICC Rankings and grabbed 2nd spot pushing the mighty Australians to third spot.The consistent good performance of India both in India and abroad has earned them the second spot in the ICC Rankings.

My personal opinion the architect for this is The Indian Captain Mr.Cool (Dhoni) and coach Mr.Calm (Kirsten).They play a huge impact on this Indian players and that shown in the form of result.India have climbed up to the second spot after 2002.India now would be eying World No 1 spot.It is not too far from the reach of this talented side.Go India .JAI HO !!!

Dhoni leads Wisden's Dream Test XI

The Wisden's Dream Test XI has been named Dhoni is going to lead the team.Virender Sehwag is termed as the Leading Cricketer in the World for 2008.Totally five Indian players are in the squad.They are MS.Dhoni,Sehwag,Sachin,Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan.This is a big achievement for India.The second team after Indian to have maximum players is Australia 's Ricky Ponting and Mitchell Johnson and South Africa's Graeme Smith and Dale Steyn.Kevin Pieterson from England and Shivnarine Chanderpaul from West Indies are also in the team.

India are on the verge of creating history by winning a Test series in NewZealand after 41 years.This Indian team has very solid batting line up and the best pace attack.India lead the series 1-0.Dhoni's presence in the team can be a huge boost.Especially the way he carries himself and his team his refreshing to see.

STATISTICS
India has either won or drawn its last 5 outings in the Test scenario.They have won against the best team Australia in this period

NewZealand on the other hand has had 2 heavy defeats.One obviously is against India in the first Test and other is against Australia.

VERDICT

India look to be clear favorites to win the series provided they play some good cricket.I personally feel if M.S.Dhoni his back in the side it is India all the way.JAI HO India !!!!

Dhoni : Money is not everything

Money available in Twenty20 leagues, is more than that top priority for India's cricketers, Indian captain Mahindra Singh Dhoni said on his team's arrival for a three-test series.

Dhoni said the rise of lucrative tournaments such as the Indian Premier League had not diminished players' commitment to the international game.

"I'm playing for my country so it's not about money," This is what Dhoni had to tell to the press people when they enquired about him and his team members importance whether IPL is more important or International Cricket

India' s Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has reclaimed top spot in the ICC Rankings overtaking West Indies Captain Chris Gayle...He was awarded the ODI Player of the Year award in 2008.So he is back on track and looking to make it big this year too.This year Dhoni is also conferred the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honor.
