Sourav Ganguly has been once again given the captaincy post. Ganguly will lead the KKR tean this season.The quote in one of the famous newspapers was that Ganguly back to helm.Dav Whatmore has been appointed as the the coach for Kolkata Knight Riders. Ganguly has been in and out of this captaincy post and now he is finally back as the captain for the IPL 3. This time SRK was forced to give the captaincy to Ganguly since most of the International players have national duty and so Ganguly will be the one to lead KKR.

The press reporters asked if KKR team have some new strategy to ply fr this season. Ganguly replied that there are no strategies, all that they need to do is go out their and play well in the middle.The results will automatically come in favor of KKR.

On this campaign, one of the most interesting and which as the mixed reaction is the ZooZoo animated look ads, but they are real people. They are very thin girls from Mumbai who are actually blind. I personally thought it was animation but it is not to be so.

Vodofone creative director and the whole team have taken 30 ads on the whole and they spend 30 crores on this. So friends watch out for more ads. The ads are received with a mixed reaction where certain people especially kids like it very much and certain people are very much annoyed with the sound that the characters generate during these ads. But this happens to be the talk of the town mainly because of the Vodofone’s creative team’s idea.

IPL 2009 : Rohit Sharma gets a hatrick against Mumbai Indians

Rohit Sharma was the real star early with the bat then with the ball.He proved to be a lethal weapon by claiming his first hat trick and the second of this IPL to win the game by 19 runs.Yuvraj Singh is the other person to get the hat trick this IPL.Rohit's bowling figures are 2-0-6-4 and for performing with both bat and ball he was obviously declared the man of the match.

IPL : Chennai Superb Kings badly needs a win

M.S.Dhoni the captain of Chennai Superb Kings and Stephen Fleming the coach of Stephen Fleming seen a thoughtful discussion as Chennai badly needs a win in the IPL to keep its hopes of making to the next round.Chennai has played 3 matches and won only 1 out of it.Other to matches Chennai did not loose badly.They gave a tough fight but that is not enough to beat the other teams.Will Chennai play well this time under the leadership of Dhoni and reach the semi-finals of th cup at least.We have to wait and see.

South African off spinner Botha who was the main element for SA 's victory over Australia misses IPL due to his suspect action.He has been already reported for his suspect action.This is the second time he is reported.

One or two IPL teams are interested in picking up Botha.But due to his controversial action they have decided it is better to live Botha.Can Botha prove that he is not guilt of throwing.He has to undergo a test very soon.

IPL Match 5 : Chennai Superb Kings win by 92 in runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore

Chennai Superb Kings won the toss and elected to bat.It was power hitting all the way by Hayden and Parthiv Patel.The first wicket of Patel fell only when the score was 106-1.Hayden scored 65 runs of 43 balls and this set the natch for CSK.Then some lusty hitting by Dhoni,Raina and Flintoff of at the end managed CSK to reach 179 in 20 overs.

Chasing this total Bangalore batted hopelessly.They last wickets in heaps.The pattern was to wickets at a time.Kallis who looked threatening went in 20's.Dravid played well but he ran out of partners.Murali bowled very well.So Bangalore could not ace the heat where all out for 87 runs.Thus CSK won the match by 92 runs.The man of the match was Murali for his splendid bowling performance.

Ganguly sacked and so fans burn SRK posters

Sourav Ganguly has been sacked from captaincy.This news will break the hearth of several Indians . The way it was done by SRK was very bad.He bowed to John Buchanan 's words and ditched Ganguly .the new captain for IPL 2 for Kolkata Knight Riders will be New Zealand wicket keeper batsman Brendon McCullum

Fans fumed and they burned the idol of SRK.They very so violent and told the reports that they never expected this will happen.When Ganguly was asked about this he refused to reply.The fans also said that Ganguly was a far better leader than Brendon McCullum

IPL Teams : Who will win this time ?

The mega event IPL(Indian Premier League) is to start by this month 18th.Totally eight teams are going one on one.This is my personal opinion that Mumbai Indians will clinch the title.they have a very good opening pair in the form of Sachin and Sanath good all rounders in the team and very good bowling attack with Zaheer and Harbhajan in there.

We have to wait and see how they perform.They have all rounders in the team his well.Pollock is there for the team ,Bravo can also be considered as an all rounders.
My personal view is that watch for the Men in Blue this time.They are sure favorites

IPL 2 in South Africa

IPL season 2 will be held in South Africa...The race for the venue of the 2nd IPL was between England and South Africa.South Africa has been selected to host IPL 2 .The reason is certain conditions favor South Africa when compared to England.

First reason could be the weather condition in South Africa.Cost is also relatively low when compared to England.England was preferred over SA at the start because T20 World Cup is going to take place there.So it would have been nice to have the matches there.Lalit Modi confirmed that IPL matches will be played in six venues in South Africa.So it seems that the total 59 matches for this season will be played in a foreign venue which is SA.So cricket lovers can enjoy the big names International Cricket clashing with each other

Venkatesh In IPL

Actor Venkatesh seems to be the first person from south who is commercially interested in IPL season2.The source from insider is that Venkatesh who is good in cricket is trying to buy the share of Hyderabad team Deccan Chargers.

After this we might see so many actors from Tollywood and Kollywood getting involved with IPL since it is a serious business and big money is involved.Already Bollywood stars are in to it big time...

Boycott advises Flintoff not to boycott IPL

Geoffrey Boycott has suggested that lucrative Twenty20 event will prepare the all-rounder better.Right now Flintoff is suffering from a hip injury because of which he was rules out of the 4th on-going test.

Since already Ponting has opted out of the T20 this time there is a lot of pressure on Flintoff to do so.But he gets sum support from Geoffrey Boycott.When Flintoff plays for England in the test there is too much of work load on him. So it is better for him to concentrate on this T20 where the work load is not too much when compared to Tests and get ready for Ashes.Boycott also suggested that Flintoff should concentrate more on one-day and Twenty20 formats of the game to prolong his international career.

Ponting pulls out of IPL

Punter pulls out of IPL this year because of his international commitments.Ponting in his column has written that "My country comes first and there was no way I could give my all for Australia if I used the only two-week break we have to go and play in India."

Though Ponting did not perform to the expected level for Kolkata Knight Riders it is going to be a tough ask for them to find a replacement for him.Such is the caliber of Ricky.

No Pakistani player in IPL, confirms Modi

IPL chairman Lalit Modi confirmed that no Pakistan player will be able to participate in the second edition of the IPL.Modi also confirmed that no Pakistani player will be available for auction that takes place in the next year IPL.So it means that the lucrative IPL is faraway from Pakistan players reach at least for 2 seasons.
