Former President A P J Abdul Kalam became the first Asian to be given the Hoover Medal, America's top engineering prize, for his outstanding contribution in the field of public service.Kalam was chosen for this award out of eight nominees worldwide.The award was mainly given to Kalam for his untiring services mainly to the people of India.
Hover Medal is mainly given to engineers who have done outstanding extra-career services to humanity.This is award is given from the year 1930.2008 year award has been given to A P J Abdul Kalam.This is a great honor to our country.
