A Special Friendship Post :) :)

Best True Friends
Can Change Our Sad Face
Into A Broad Smiling Face.

When We Are Magnet To Unknown Troubles
Best True Friends Just Come & Hold Our Hand
Assuring I'm There For You And
Will Always Be With You.

When Our Head Is Down
They Understand The Situation
Rather Than Asking Reasons.
Motivate Us By Many Means.

Best True Friend Can Only Be One.
There Could Be Many Friends.
But Among Those, There Will Be One Such Soul
Who Is Sent By God As A Best True Friend.

Though First 3 Stanzas Say,
"BEST TRUE FRIENDS" Coz, I Said Generally
Applying To All of Us, Who Are Blessed To Have
A "BEST TRUE FRIEND"

A Friend of Mine
Proved Friendship Quote,
"A Friend In Need Is A Friend In Deed".
I Sincerely Whole Heartedly Dedicate This Poem
And Dedicate This Day To My Most Best True Friend, "Shwetha".

PS :- Dearies, Thanks A Lot For All Your Cherishable Compliments To My Previous Post, "Special Heart".
PPS :- Wish You All A Very Happy Friendship Day :) :)

You Messin' With Me?

LL looking very mean and moody while on a trip to Henley on Thames. The weather was lovely and we both had a great time.

I'm pleased to say his new tooth is coming through quite nicely.

And I can also exclusively announce that the Martians have landed the vanguard of their invasion fleet on top of a Narrow Boat. Guess they forgot the small matter of scale LOL.

Oh and LL tells me he loves Art of Noise- I had the CD in my car today.

Olympic Alphabet - E is for ...

..... Events
The Olympics is different from all other competitions because so many varied sports take place in one city at one time. London 2012 will feature 26 sports (each broken down into different disciplines and events). At each olympics there is the potential for the addition of new events - in London this will include Women's Boxing and Vancouver debuted the fast and furious sport of Ski Cross.

8 athletes have shown they can master very different events by competing in both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games.
  • Connie Carpenter Phinney (speed skating, 1972; cycling, 1984)
  • Willie Davenport (athletics, 1968 and 1976; bobsleigh, 1980)
  • Eddie Eagan(boxing, 1920; bobsleigh, 1932; medaled in both)
  • Dave Gilman (canoe and kayak, 1976, 1984, and 1988; luge 1984)
  • Arthur Longsjo (speed skating and cycling, 1956)
  • Connie Paraskevin-Young (speed skating, 1984 and 1980; cycling, 1996, 1992, and 1988)
  • Arnold Uhrlass (speed skating, 1960; cycling, 1964)
  • Chris Witty (cycling, 2000; speed skating, 2006)

E is also for ........Eddie the Eagle

One of the most famous 'lovable losers' of the olympics - personifying the expression "It's not the winning, it's the taking part". Michael 'Eddie the Eagle' Edwards was the first man to represent GB in ski-jumping at the 1988 winter games in Calgary. He finished in last place in both the regular and large hill events but endeared himself to fans the world over.

PROLOGUE:
Am I dead?  Was I dead? Will I die again?

DHAN-TAN-NA

[IRELLEVANT #1]

Hello this is Shiva Nagri and I AM HERE (unfortunately) and I will be farting out a new post (tribute to modern day maverick Mr. Arjun Singh Chauhan hiyn… the new angry young boy) and that too after a slumber of 3 months which ranged from the ever so hectic admissions to the never so boring and continuous sleep sessions, once in a while broken by the enthralling Need for Speed Most Wanted or the time shattering God of War 2.

All right

TAYN DAYN

[RELEVANT YET UNRESEARCHED]

What I wanted to talk about was the handy phenomenon these days THE TOUCH SCREEN.
iPhone probably revolusionned (revolutionized + illusion) the concept of touch screen in smart phones, even though it wasn’t as revolusionarry as iPod because iPhone was just a crappy call button and some bullshitting features added to iPod touch in exchange of much more financial greenery.

Whatever tryst I had with it, turned out to be a workout session on a ski.

Whatever it did, was probably add a lot more to ongoing illegal trade in India, by hurting the sentiments of roti kapda makan aur mobile class of india who scratched their inflated rears filled with twinkling egos and deposited them inside the Chinese locker.

Thanks to Nokia and Samsung cheaper touch screen handsets are coming and as far staring on cellphones is considered I had the ability to notice that since the past decade of Nokia’s Indian trends they have finally moved on from Nokia 6600 to 7610 to Xpress music 5500 and finally landing on 5800, which has cheaper versions Iike 5235 and more(with an accelerometer that eats its own shit)

[IRRELEVANT #2]

Another thing which is making its mark in the entertainment sector is motion sensors better experienced with accelerometers inside cellphones and wii remotes .

And 3D, well I believe it’s a gimmick and even if the whole world donates its eyes it will be a gimmick, hope holographic displays come sooner to kick its ass.

Ofcourse this darker than thou glassier than thou 3D will stay. Gimmicks do stay (eg: me)

EPILOGUE:

I wish I COMPLETE this post and PUBLISH it, otherwise Zanil Hyder could play Kabaddi Kabaddi with my fat corpse.

Art of Noise

Kind of feeling all nostalgic over my latest CD purchase. Just wish I could still play all those vinyl Long Play "LP" albums I still have stashed away LOL.

Who can possibly forget "Close (To The Edit)" or the excellent covers of "Kiss", with Tom Jones, and "Peter Gunn", featuring the talents of Duane Eddy?

There was a time AoN seemed to be everywhere, you know.

Happy days.

Olympic Alphabet - D is for ...

....Dreams
Ok it's a cliche idea 'The Olympic Dream' - but there's something to be said for being on top of the World.
A young Ivana Hong with hero- Olympic Champ Carly Patterson

Ivana and team-mate Rebecca Bross with their bling from the World championships in London, 2009. They'll be hoping to match or better this in London 2012.

Quote from Rebecca when asked does she think about being the 3rd olympic all around champ from her gym in a row?
" No, I don't think about it much........but I dream about it"

....D is also for Double Gold Medallists (...or triple....or more!!)

Every medal is amazing - but these are the performances we remember most- the athletes who become national heroes and household names.

Triple gold medallist Chris Hoy and Double gold medallist Rebecca Alington

Then there are those who take it to the extremes - Michael Phelps (8 golds in 8 races in beijing- not to mention his medals from Athens) and Sir Stephen Redgrave (5 gold medals from 5 cosecutive games - 1984 to 2000!)

A Special Heart!!!!

A Girl Named Shun Left Contacts Of All Her Friends As She Felt That, They Hate & Ignore Her. She Deleted All Their Contact Details. She Had A Friend Named, Sunny Who Was Very Friendly, Helpful. She Even Gave Up His Friendship. Stage By Stage She Tried To Forget Him. It Was A Toughest Job To Forget Him.

Few Months Passed & One Fine Day, Shun's Parents Had To Go To Their Native Immediately. But Shun Had Her College & Couldn't Take Leave. Her Parents Left Home In The Night & Told Her To Lock The Door & Not To Get Scared.

She Was Scared of Dark But Had Kept Her Favorite God's Photograph In Her Hand & Slept. Next Morning, As Usual She Was On Her Way To College After Having Breakfast. On Her Way To College She Saw Sunny. Sunny Was Very Much Excited To See Her. Some Where or Other She Had Soft Corner For Him. So She Gave A Faded Smile For Sunny's Excited Smile. Sunny Enquired Why She Avoided & Ignored.

She Said Sunny That, I Continuously Experienced Failure In Each & Every Step & Was Very Depressed. I Suffered A Lot & Felt That, Everyone Doesn't Even Bother. I Know About You Sunny. You Were My Most Best Friend. It Was A Very Toughest Task To Forget You. But, I Didn't Wanted To Spoil Anybody's Life or Career. I Even Had Suicidal Thoughts. But, My Inner Conscious Said, Suiciders Are Coward People & Committing Suicide Is Not Which I Really Wanted. I Didn't Wanted To Create Or Give Tensions or Troubles TO Anybody. But One Entire Night, I Thought Of All Ups & Downs. Many People Suffer From Many Failures & Gave Up Suicidal Thought. I Am Here To Fight For Justice, But Not To Accept Failures.

Sunny Was Very Much Happy Listening To Her Ultimate Decision & Promised To Help Her In Whatever Manner He Can. He Invited Her To His Birthday. He Had Invited Other Friends. All Of Them, Went To Beach. Sunny Purposely Took Shun To Beach, To Wash off Her Pains, Tensions, Troubles To Some Extent. Both of Them, Holding Hand In Hand, Went Near The Waves & Washed Their Foot, Played With Waves. After Soo Long Period of Time, Everybody Saw Shun's Happiness.

Woodlice

oniscus asellus

In Britain there are at least thirty five species of woodlice. Worldwide there are several thousand species with new species still being discovered. The most populous British species are the common shiny woodlouse (oniscus asellus), the common rough woodlouse, the common grey pygmy woodlouse, the common striped woodlouse and the common pill bug (armadillidium vulgare).

Fossil evidence proves that woodlice have been around and little changed for over three hundred million years whereas the best estimate for homonoid type beings is ninety million years with recognisable modern man only being around for the last 250,000 years. These figures are of course debatable but it is very clear that woodlice were here long before human beings evolved.

Our humble Sheffield house has a not so humble garden which I estimate to cover around 4,500 square feet. Much of this is grass lawn - not the best territory for woodlice who enjoy damp, dark places. Lift any brick, pot, stone, dead weed, leaf, compost bin or watering can in our garden and you will find a woodlouse party going on. Lots of them, of all ages. They are all over the place. Despite the lawned areas, I estimate that there are ten woodlice for every square foot of our garden - that's 45,000 on our property alone. It wouldn't surprise me if my guesswork was wildly conservative.

Some say that woodlice can damage young plants and several English councils' environmental departments offer advice for getting rid of them. However, in my experience as a gardener, observer of nature and former allotment keeper, I have never had a problem with them. In fact, in chomping through dead plant material and dead timber, woodlice are most probably making an invaluable contribution to overall soil quality.

They are right under our noses and fascinating to watch even though they are principally nocturnal creatures. You could say that this is their planet. They were here long before human interlopers arrived and are perfectly evolved to undertake the jobs that Nature requires of them. If there were a need to begin a "Save The Woodlouse" campaign, I would be one of the first to join it but thankfully, though some sub-species are threatened, worldwide woodlice numbers remain bountiful beyond our wildest imaginings.

Aamir Khan and SRK are friends again?

SRK and Aamir

SRK and Aaamir Khan have finally left apart all their differences and decided to become long time friends. This is mainly because of Karan Johar who has been a pacifier between the two. Karan Johar Sharuk Khan and Aamir Khan recently had dinner together in London where each of them where shooting for their films respectively.

Peepli Live is the movie that Aamir Khan is acting now and he confirmed in the press that he will invite SRK for the premier of the movie. Well there is not any response from SRK side. We have to wait and watch whether SRK accepts this invite so that the old enemy foes will finally turn in to friendship.

Olympic Alphabet - C is for ...

... Ceremonies

Ok, so I said 3 days ago that however you dress them up the Olympics are about the sports. But the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the olympics are some of the hottest tickets in town and can say a lot about the host nation and it's people- as well as being a great opportunity to celebrate the spirit of the Games

Here are some of my memories of the ceremonies from the last 3 Olympic Games.

Vancouver
High points- The Snowboarder opening the games by junping through the olympic rings, Choosing Joannnie Rochette as Canadian flagbearer for the closing ceremony, Getting the athletes in at the start so they actually got to enjoy the show for once!
Low point - the 4th leg of the torch not working- but in true canadian style they aknowledged the mistake and made 'fixing it' part of the closing ceremony.

Beijing
High Points- the spectacle, probably the largest, most grand opening ceremony we'll ever see with a cast of over 15,000 - Only china can afford that amount of money and manpower!
Low Point- Choosing one girl to sing a chinese patriotic song at the ceremony then deciding to replace her with a 'cuter' girl who mimed the song to a recording of her voice.

Torino
High Point - The Italian anthem - Always a fave of mine. Luciano Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma in his last public performance.
Low Point - I believe pavarotti was also miming - but to his own voice this time (the organizers were worried about the effect that the cold would have on the 70 year old tenor.)

.... C is also for Coaches

It takes more than 1 to reach an olympic medal. Countries put aside millions of pounds/dollars etc every olympic cycle to nurture talented kids into champion athletes. We may not aggree with them all the time- we may think some of them are downright laughable- but great athletes need great coaches!

Add another high point to Vancouver's opening ceremony- Coaches marching in alongside their athletes for the very first time.

Hawkeye- An intimidating lineup of Olympic skating coaches in Vancouver!

Eden

The unpromising claypit in 1998
Mr Rhymes and Ms Blawat, cousins residing in our American colonies, have both asked me for a little more about The Eden Project. Well here goes.

First of all, it's easy to access The Eden Project's website. Just type the name into Google and you'll find it. What I am about to write is off the top of my head with no reference to the guidebook we bought there or the website I've mentioned.

Just outside the town of St Austell in England's remote south west there are china clay deposits which have been mined for at least 150 years. Sometimes the claypits become exhausted and so it was with the pit near the village of St Blazey. In 1998 it was an ugly, barren hole in the ground with no future until it was spotted by a dreamer - former music producer Tim Smit and his growing team of environmental and botanical enthusiasts.

Their dream was to turn the pit into a sort of garden which would remind the world of humanity's relationship with nature, especially the plant world. It was to be a project that would celebrate, educate and inspire, perhaps altering mindsets in the battle to cherish this wonderful yet terribly abused planet.

Smit and his team set up The Eden Project charity and before too long, trucks were bringing load after load of soil, compost and sand to the site. The sides of the quarry were made safe and irrigation plans were put into practice. Two enormous greenhouses or biomes were constructed- the biggest in the world - looking like giant bubble wrap from afar.
Sculpture made from detritus of the modern world
Gardeners were employed - only men and women with genuine passion for the project. Plants were located all over the globe and transported to Cornwall.

The rainforest biome is now well-established with mature tropical trees, shrubs and creepers. There are pineapples growing inside it, bananas, coffee, cocoa, coconuts and beautiful jungle flowers. There's a waterfall and authentic rainforest huts. The humidity was sweltering on the day we visited.
Shirley through a misted lens in the Rainforest Biome
The other biome accommodates "mediterranean" plants. Growth is of course less prolific. There are cacti, vines, sunflowers, olive trees, tobacco plants and several complementary sculptures including a horse made from driftwood.

Outside the biomes, the botany is equally interesting and Shirley and I especially enjoyed the little vegetable garden with its quirky ideas and scarecrows. We were seeing it in early July when everything was fruiting - I guess it would look much less impressive in say November.
Foxtail lilies
In this world it gets easy to yawn, to be cynical and dismissive but I must say that is not the feeling I had about The Eden Project. It was and is quite brilliant. To have had the dream and to have seen it through - Tim Smit and his team have once again proven that human beings are capable of amazing things and this project is certainly not about personal financial gain. Ten years down the line - I was so pleased to have seen the Eden Project at a level of maturity that visitors would not have seen in the first two or three years.

There - I think I have said enough. One last memory I want to share. In "The Core" building on the site there is a 70 tonne block of Cornish granite that has been skilfully carved into the shape of a seed pod. I believe that it is the biggest single block granite sculpture in the world. Perhaps it's saying that from seeds big things can grow. Certainly true of The Eden Project.

Bolt from the Blue

17 year old world vault champion from the US , Kayla Willams has made the surprising decision to stop competing elite gymnastics and focus on getting ready for college gymnastics.

Kayla made the metioric leap from the US junior championships to world champion in a single year. We all predicted she'd be around at least until 2012 if not maybe 2016!

She was due to compete at the Classic last weekend but pulled out after a minor injury ( a torn plantar fascia tendon in her foot.) Her coach, Mary Lee Tracey said Kayla felt this would hinder her chances of making the 2010 world team so decided to start getting ready to College. Kayla committed to joining thr University of Alabama team from next summer.

Whilst I still find this a surprising decision- I wish her luck.

.....It does look then as if comeback-kid Alicia Sacramone's chances of making the world team this year have increased then, with USA minus one strong vaulter- the mighty Marta will have her eyes open!

Dear Steven Moffat*

** Warning the entry below may contain spoilers **

Sometimes there can be change for change's sake. Discuss.

  • The new version of the Doctor Who theme music and graphics are OK (although personally I could do without the lightning strikes) and the new logo, spinning DW and all, is inspired.
  • The re-imagined Silurians are great; gone the ridiculous third eye, to be replaced with a lovely poisonous tongue mmm.
  • I can appreciate why you wanted the "retro" exterior to the TARDIS with the St. John's Ambulance symbol. It looks great, just like the stunning new interior. Although I did like the previous version, I suspect it had to go due to it not being suitable for High Definition TV..?
  • Accepted you had no choice casting a new lead and companion- David Tennant had already decided to move on and Donna Noble's story had pretty much come to a conclusion. To be honest Matt Smith and Karen Gillan are a fantastic piece of casting.
But please can we have our old DALEKS back?

The new ones are frankly rubbish- their voices don't sound right and they sure as hell don't look right. Steven, you're currently filming the 2010 Christmas special and preparing for the next full series so now is the right time to say this: the original design DALEKS were far better. A true classic that has endured for decades.

You've "reset" the whole universe (or at least all of Time and Space) so you have a grand opportunity to welcome back the classic design DALEK, right?

*I know the Executive Producer of Doctor Who is unlikely to ever read this but I feel better now, having got it off my chest LOL.

Visiting Canberra

Canberra
Hi friends, Canberra, the capital city of Australia is one every tourist wants to visit for its superb weather conditions. The city is a planned one and the inter city area was originally designed by American architect who planned geometric pattern roads.

The climate in Canberra is relatively dry with warm to hot summers and cool to cold winters. Snow is rare but the adjacent areas heavy snow falls in the winter and snow capped mountains can be seen. Light snow quite often falls once or twice per year but it is not widespread and quickly dissipates. Canberra is less humid than the surrounding coastal areas. Annual rainfall is low and evenly spread over the seasons. The area is not very windy and the breeze is strong for few months. The average temperature is between -3 degree Celsius and +14 degree Celsius. The canberra weather forecast could be viewed from the weather channel. You can view the current weather condition of the day and also for future week. In January 1999 the weather channel was launched initially for the region and later it started providing national information in the year 2002 by joining FOXTEL network. At present this weather channel is Australia’s premier twenty four hour meteorological outlet. This will enable you to have an idea about the weather condition in the city. You can plan your tour accordingly to have sight seeing and comfortable stay in the city. Certainly visit to the city at an appropriate season will enhance your happiness.

Olympic Alphabet - B is for....

... Bringing your Best (When it counts)

Most athletes or olympic hopefuls visualise their perfect olympics- putting out your very best performance. Standing on the podium with a gold medal and the National Anthem playing. But whether or not you end up with a medal- most olympians remember whether or not their olympics performance was the best it could be.

Those who did-
  • Yu-Na Kim- smashed personal and olympic records with her performance in Vancouver to win by a landslide. Under all the pressure she delivered- hence the well earned reaction from her (and her coach, Brian)
  • Nastia Liukin - Won the all around competition not just on the difficulty of all her skills - but by the fact that she performed each of her routines about as well as she ever had.
  • Michael Phelps - 8 golds, 8 world records- can't get much better than that!
  • And many many more!
Those who couldn't
  • Carolina Kostner - buckled under the pressure at her home games in Turin and missed the chance to redeem herself four years later in Vancouver- will the third time be the charm?
  • Cheng Fei- gave her all for the team, her brilliant floor routine securing China's team gold in gymnastics in Beijing- but when it came to doing it for herself in the individual finals- she fell short.
  • Alicia Sacramone- may never forgive herself for her 2 falls in the Team final in Beijing- but she's started a successful comeback in search of olympic redemption!

.... B is also for Beth

The flag-carrier for GB gymnastics and inspiration to so many young gymnasts. Beth Tweddle showed that this wasn't just a sport for tweenagers and that it is possible to develop into a champion gymnast over time.

This year Beth became an MBE - Member of the order of the British Empire- a royal honour not usually bestowed on athletes until they return home, olympic medal in hand. However the award is given for 'services to sport' - something Beth has given in bundles!

Beth did not have her best performances in Beijing- narrowly missing the bars, floor and team finals. Hopefully London 2012 will be her time. With the rapid improvements of team GB gymnasts- its looking good!

By the way- if you have any better suggestions for the Olympic Alphabet- feel free to comment and propose them!

Brian's gang - an update

Previously I wrote a blog post about Brian Orser's growing camp of talented skaters. They were a busy lot this past weekend, travelling to 3 different countries to skate.

Yu-Na Kim and Min-Jung Kwak headed home to Korea to wow the crowds in Yu-Na's show All That Skate Summer. The event was a huge hit (obviously). Maistro David Wilson went with them to choreograph the show. Min-Jung makes me smile and I hope she does well on the senior Grand Prix circuit this year. Without Yu-Na competing - all the korean eyes and camera lenses will be focussed on her.

Not that she seems to mind. On her Cyworld page (a kind of korean facebook) are hundreds of photos of her goofing around- like this one. I think she borrowed (or made off with) this medal from one of the Korean speed skaters.

Adam Rippon spent his weekend performing in Japan with Mao Asada's show THE ICE. As usual for Japan, the skaters were showered with gifts from the skating fans. Adam posted on Twitter. "Home from japan! Thanks to all the fans who made it such a wonderful trip:) xoxoxo" and also posted a photo of himself and World Champ Jeffrey Buttle.

Meanwhile, Brian Orser was in the US with 2 of his other charges, Christina Gao and Yea Ji Yun competed at Skate Detroit. Christina debuted 2 new programmes and a new triple flip-triple toe combination. She won the senior event with a very respectable score 0f 159.07. Christina will skate on the Junior Grand Prix this year and will be one of the favourites. Also with her growing reputation and arsenal of jumps will definitely be in the mix for a medal at the US nationals this year.

Korean Junior Champ Yea-Ji Yun finished 5th in the Juniors here, measuring herself against US and International skaters is a great way for her to develop and we may see her too on the junior circuit this year.

Olympic Alphabet - A is for...

..... Adventure

Being an olympic athlete isn't about your one day in the spotlights with the cameras rolling and the pressure on. It's about the thousands of days in the gym or at the track or at the rink, working in persuit of a dream. It's all part of the journey - enjoy the ride.

(young gymnasts, including one future olympic champion)

..... A is also for Amy

Team GB's one and only reigning winter olympic medallist. Be proud!

2 years and counting....

Time flies doesn't it? We seem to have just wrapped up in Vancouver and already we have a Youth Olympics on our hands and tomorrow it will be only 2 years until LONDON 2012!

I've heard so many interviews with olympic athletes and hopefuls who always say 'The next four years will fly by' and they're right.

Ollie from BBC sport posted a great video on his blog of Team GB athletes sharing their excitement for the approaching home games. Our track and field athletes will be testing themselves out this week at the European Athletics Championships.

The London games (like any other games) have already recieved criticism on many counts - mainly money related, and of course the 'love-them-or-hate-them' official logos and mascots.

But however you wrap it up- the Olympics will always inspire!

In honour of this milestone I've come up with the idea of an Olympic Alphabet!

Classic - Seniors

I have managed to get a video link of the Senior event- makes the late night worthwhile!

I'll be updating as much as I can, probably between rotations.

Rotation 1
Vanessa Zamarippa - started off with a good vault - but with some big steps on landing - 14.5
Mackenzie Caquatto - came out fighting on bars- looking great 15.05
Alicia Sacramone - got the job done on beam- announcing her comeback - 14.8
Kytra Hunter - threw some massive stuff on floor (full twisting dbl layout, piked + tucked dbl arabians) same music as last year.
Ali Raisman- started a bit wobbly on beam but finished with a dbl arrabian dismount 14.3
Cassie Whitcomb - strong on floor- great landings. - It's all going well so far...
Mattie Larson - looked awesome and so sure of herself on beam - until she sat down on the dismount :-( 13.45
Sam Shapiro - solid on beam, over-time on her routine. Still has a cool beam mount, lots of standing on the top of her toes though - ouchy
After rotation 1 - 1 Caquatto, 2 Sacramone, 3 Hunter, 4 Shapiro, 5 Zamarripa

Rotation 2
Amanda Jetter - double twisting yurchenko
(whoever is on floor in the background is using shawn johnson's old music)
Briley Casanova - bars, good handstands, slightly sloppy releases, big fall on dismount though. She has to do well today to qualify for nationals
Kytra Hunter- dbl yurchenko, small step fward
Ali Raisman - good on floor, 2 tumbling passes stuck. dbl arabian pike and tuck.
Rebecca Bross- fast and furious as ever on bars, stuck dismount, business as usual. 15.45
Mattie Larson - means business on floor - stuck almost everything until last pass- o.o.b.
Sam Shapiro - floor- slightly simpler tumbles, beautiful dance.
Mackenzie Caquatto- wobbly on beam- 1 fall and almost another on dismount.
Katelyn Clarke - pretty good on floor, not all that memorable though.
After Rotation 2 - 1 Hunter 29.45, 2 Zamarripa 29.05, 3 Shapiro 28.8, 4 Jetter 28.7, 5 Raisman 28.6, 6 Whitcomb, 7 Lee, 8 Larson

Rotation 3
Rebecca Bross- hard day on beam, sat down her dbl arabian dismount
Bridget Sloan- squeaks it on bars- a few tricky moment but made it
Ali Raisman- went for an amanar vault, under-rotated and fell. not even close.
Kytra Hunter- landed splat on her bars release.
Mattie Larson - good double yurchenko vault, maybe I will get my wish!
Cassie Whitcombe- good and tidy bar routine - a good day for her.
Sam Shapiro- bad landing on vault - likely done herself an injury (again)
Alicia Sacramone - 2 big vaults, handspring 1/2 and only a yurchenko full - but very well done
Vanessa Zamarippa- painful looking fall off beam, otherwise v. pretty
After 3rd rotation: 1 Whitcomb, 2 Jetter(-0.25) 3 Larson (-0.6) 4 Shapiro (even with the vt crash) 5 Raisman, 6 Lee, 7 Zam, 8 Macko

Rotation 4
Sam Shapiro apparantly hyperextended her knee back on vault. Not too serious but definitely the end of her competition today.
ASac says she is like a fine wine 'I get better with age' !!
Ali Raisman- a great bar routine by her standards.
Cassie Whitcomb - lookied like she had it in the bag until a fall on beam- open door.
Mattie Larson- great bar routine - I have my fingers crossed for her :-)
Vanessa Zamarippa- very expressive floor ex, lack difficulty but great to watch.
Amanda Jetter- no fall but some mistakes on beam, gonna be close...... 13.7

Mattie wins- yipee!!
Jetter 2nd, Caquatto 3rd, Whitcomb 4th

However - Larson's winning score was 57.1 - The Jrs wiped the floor with the Srs today

Anyway - its now 3am UK time --> bed time zzz
