Filming has now apparently started in Cardiff on the new series of Doctor Who, starring Matt Smith and Karen Gillan.
Don't they make a happy looking couple?
Smith will probably make his first appearance as the Doctor at Christmas/New Year in David Tennant's final episode*, penned by outgoing Executive Producer Russell T Davies. Davis has previously stated from the moment Smith appears (and therefore anything he says or does) will be the responsibility of incoming head writer Steven Moffat.
*Rumours remain the BBC will shortly announce a big screen cinema version of Doctor Who penned by Davis and starring David Tennant, who is said to have already signed a contract for an unspecified Sci-Fi film.
