Bears-Packers play of the game in slo-mo

Bears-Packers
By Dan Pompei
Situation: Trailing 15-13 with 1:18 remaining, the Packers had third-and-1 on the 50-yard line.

Result: Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers ran a play fake to Ryan Grant and threw deep to Greg Jennings for a 50-yard touchdown.

The tape shows: The Bears smelled run because the Packers needed 1 yard for a fresh set of downs. Strong safetyAl Afalava was supposed to guard against the run, and he was moving forward on the snap.

Free safety Kevin Payne, however, was assigned the deep middle and got too aggressive when he saw the play fake. Payne advanced to the point where he could not recover and get back in position to make a play on Jennings.

Cornerback Nathan Vasher might not be able to run with Jennings if Jennings were pushing a wheelbarrow full of concrete mix. But Vasher stumbled getting into his backpedal and never had a chance.
