A new virus called KOOBFACE is spread in social networking sites..Mainly Facebook and MySpace..The victims those who are affected by this virus can face the following problems...
1)Credit card numbers stolen
2)User name password are stolen
3)Phishing takes place.(Searches made on google yahoo are re-directed to deceptive web pages..
REASON BEHIND THE NAME
It should be noted that Koobface is an anagram of Facebook; "face" and "book" change order and "koob" is "book" in reverse
THREATS
Facebook inboxes are filled with titles like “you look just awesome in this new movie” or something similar, and direct readers to another Web site to supposedly watch the clip...
Watch out for these and dont get stuck into these traps.
SOLUTION IMPLEMENTED BY FACEBOOK
1) Facebook's Security team is working on the issue right now.
2) Facebook has posted instructions on how to remove the infection.
