Pittsburgh’s famous hotels
Pittsburgh lies where the Allegheny & Monongahela rivers meet andform the Ohio River, in the hills of Southwestern Pennsylvania. From its beginnings as on 18th Century, the city emerged as an industrial powerhouse in the 1800s, largely due to iron and steel production. Today, the days of steel manufacturing are mostly gone and with them the industrial pollution that earned the city the nickname “Smoky City”. Pittsburgh has been recast into a pleasing blend of 19th and 20th century architectural masterpieces and modern skyscrapers and ranks among the nation’s most livable cities.
Omni William Penn is Pittsburgh’s famous hotel has a luxurious lobby with a coffered ceiling and crystal chandeliers where people relax over drinks. The guest rooms are filled with light and many are large enough for a couch and a wing chair.
Ramada Plaza Suites and Conference Center: In the Golden Triangle, across from the Mellon Arena and adjacent to the Steel Plaza subway station, the Ramada is a convenient hotel with modern rooms and suites, restaurant pool, health club etc.
