Sad as it may be that a popular singer has died overnight, the media coverage is going a bit overboard in my opinion.
Wall to wall reporting in the press, radio, tv and web. I even got an email notification from a forum I used to be a member of. This morning one radio presenter went so far as to describe it as "like JFK for the current generation." What? Get real.
Let's not forget many other people, equally loved by their families and friends also died yesterday. Let's get a sense of perspective, keep this in proportion.
