The Australian girls were unbeatable in the all around in Delhi, sweeping the medals were Lauren Mitchell (gold 58.200), Emily Little (silver 55.850) and Georgia Bonora (bronze 54.950). These girls are also Rotterdam bound for the world championships in a few weeks.
The English girls just missed out, coming 4th (Imogen Cairns 54.650), 5th (Jocelyn Hunt 53.600) and 6th (Lauren Edwards 52.900)- Not bad for the 'B-team'. They'll be hoping to grab some individual event bling though and not let the aussies rule the whole party.The English men fared better. Luke Folwell took gold (85.550) ahead of Reiss Beckford (85.450). Aussie Josua Jefferis took bronze (84.750) and young Max Whitlock of England came a close 4th with 84.450. The Brits are looking strong with 2012 on the horizon.
In other Gym news - the Team USA ladies for Worlds will FINALLY be picked later tonight. I'll likely be sleeping but check out universal sports or USA gymnastics for the news.
