Sachin Tendulkar scores his 100th international century for India

Sachin Tendulkar scores his 100th international century
Sachin Tendulkar thanks to God for his 100th century
India's Sachin Tendulkar has become the first player to score 100 international centuries by compiling a ton in a one-day game against Bangladesh in Dhaka.

The 38-year-old completed his landmark century, his 49th in one-day cricket, with a single clipped to square leg.

After being dismissed for 114, he said: "I was not thinking about the milestone. It hasn't sunk in."

Tendulkar had twice been out in the 90s after scoring his 99th century against South Africa in March 2011.

The right-hander, who holds the record for scoring the most Test and one-day runs, has also scored 51 Test tons.

Tendulkar, whose own celebration was a little muted, was immediately congratulated by the Bangladesh players after he jogged through for the single to bring up his century, scored off Shakib Al Hasan.

The hundred was Tendulkar's first against Bangladesh in one-day cricket and he added another 14 runs before edging a Mashrafe Mortaza delivery to wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim.

He added: "A year ago when I got my 99th hundred no one spoke about it during the World Cup. The I guess it was the media who began talking about it.

"Wherever I went, to a restaurant, the house keeping, the room service, whoever I met just spoke about the 100th hundred.

"It became a little difficult mentally, because I am not playing only for my 100th hundred.

"The 99 hundreds that I scored, nobody spoke about them. Everyone had their opinion but eventually I have got to do what is important for the team.

"I have lost about 50 kilos. Enjoy the game and chase your dreams. I had to wait for 22 years for one dream, the World Cup."

England Test captain Andrew Strauss told BBC Sport: "Sachin is a player by which all others are measured over the last 10-15 years, and for him to go out and get a hundred hundreds is an amazing achievement without precedent - it's unlikely to be achieved again."

International Cricket Council chief executive Haroon Lorgat has also paid tribute to Tendulkar's achievement.

"On behalf of every cricket fan around the globe I congratulate Sachin on becoming the first person to score 100 centuries for his country," he said.

“Sachin is a true role model who will undoubtedly hold a special place in cricket's history”

ICC chief Haroon Lorgat

"This is indeed a magnificent feat and not likely to be easily emulated. The number 100 is special for a batsman and to record 100 centuries for your country is a massive statement.

"Like millions of others I have followed his career ever since he first played for India as a gifted 16-year-old and now, more than two decades later, his passion and personal records, which include more than 33,000 runs at international level, is a modern day wonder.

"Sachin is a true role model who will undoubtedly hold a special place in cricket's history."

Narayanaswami Srinivasan, the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India said: "Ever since he made his international debut in November 1989, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar has strode cricketing arenas the world over, like a colossus.

"He has been an inspiration to billions, and an ornament to the sport. March 16, 2012 will never be forgotten by cricket-lovers."

India Prime Minister Manmohan Singh issued a statement, adding: "He has made India proud.

"Tendulkar's long career has been a triumph of class, character and courage. I wish him many more innings and feats to continue inspiring the youth."

He began his Test career as a 16-year-old in 1989 against Pakistan and scored 15 in a blood-soaked shirt after being hit in the face by a Waqar Younis delivery.

The following year he scored his first Test century, against England at Old Trafford and in 1992 became Yorkshire's first overseas signing.

Tendulkar surpassed fellow India legend Sunil Gavaskar's record of 34 Test centuries in 2005, became the highest Test-run scorer in 2008 and scored the first double century in a one-day international in 2010.

Tendulkar has scored 15,470 Test runs and more than 18,000 in the one-day game.

Sachin playing IPL final

Sachin is playing the IPL final which makes the chances for the Mumbai Indians brighter. The match is to start in another 10 minutes and CSK have won the toss and they have decided to bat first in this all important final.Sachin is playing with a split webbing and has been operated in his hand with 5 stitches which means Sachin will not be 100 percent fit. Well it will be a moral boost for Mumbai Indians especially with the crowd backing Mumbai and the master back I hope it will really be an interesting contest and I am looking forward to the match.

Dhoni and his men are up to the challenge of facing Mumbai Indians in their home turf and I guess this would be a very interesting clash and I would name this has the "CLASH OF TITANS".

Kambli apologized to Sachin Tendulkar

Vinod Kambli the former Indian Cricketer and long time friend of Sachin, had some golden days in domestic cricket, before he was a big time flop when he played for Indian Cricket. Vinod Kambli I remember playing in the India vs Srilanka semi-finals in 1996 where he cried like small baby when it was exit for Indian from the World Cup. My hunch says that Vinod Kambli might have cried for his own exit from International Cricket rather than the teams exit.

Vinod Kambli recently in a real time show spoke about Sachin it seems, and the reports from the media suggest that Kambli had stated in the interview that Sachin did not stand by me during my tough times and as a friend he could have done more to me. The reports suggest this but Kambli refuted strongly that he did not make these alleged comments.

Vinod Kambli has also apologized to Sachin and told that how is family and he would feel when he hears about this comment. Kambli also added that Sachin is very close to him and he knows what he would have said, but still he feels sad for media creating bogus statements.

IPL 2009 : Rohit Sharma gets a hatrick against Mumbai Indians

IPL 2009 is getting bigger and better has the league has reached half a down almost all teams are equally placed.Today's match was an important encounter between Mumbai Indians and Deccan Charges.Deccan Charges scored 145 /6 in 20 overs.Rohit Sharma being the top scorer with 38 runs.Mumbai Indians should have easily got to this score.R.P.Singh made some early in roads to remove Sachin and Sanath Jayasuriya. Then a brilliant half century by Dumminy got them back on track for the game

Rohit Sharma was the real star early with the bat then with the ball.He proved to be a lethal weapon by claiming his first hat trick and the second of this IPL to win the game by 19 runs.Yuvraj Singh is the other person to get the hat trick this IPL.Rohit's bowling figures are 2-0-6-4 and for performing with both bat and ball he was obviously declared the man of the match.

Sachin speaks about three pillars of his life

Sachin says that he has three gurus in life. They are his father, his elder brother and his coach Ramakant Achrekar. When asked in what way all these three people influenced him in his life he has few memories to share with us.Sachin's father gave him life by telling him to move in the right direction. The best advise he gave him was to be good always, only then you will be remembered by all.

Sachin's elder brother Ajit was the one who introduced him to cricket. Thanks to him or else we would have lost the India ,s run machine.Sachin 's coach Ramakant Achrekar has helped me achieve what I have. I surely feel he is th best player in World.Sachin you really rock !!!

Rare picture must see

The picture alone is not rare. The species is in the danger of becoming extinct. In India alone poaching is a serious problem.Only off late care is take to preserve tigers.Until this it was estimated that tiger is being poached at the rate of 1 per day.Already the Tasmanian tiger,Persian Tiger are extinct. The tiger which is found in the picture is Siberian Tiger. This species of tiger is the fastest growing tiger and a small six months old Siberian Tiger can be as big as a grown leopard.

My special thanks to Sachin because off late after winning the man of the match in New Zealand One day he donated the amount he won for preservation of tigers.Awareness of preserving Tigers has considerably increased which in turn as increased the head counts of tigers. Thanks to the Wild life team !!!!

Sachin The Master Blaster

Sachin Tendulkar scored 163 and helped India to win the third ODI by 58 runs against New Zealand.Sachin was finally retired hurt for 163.If h had been there who knows he could have got to 200 and broken a other record. The ground was small and Sachin took full advantage of that.

This was Sachin's first century on New Zealand soil which helped India to score a mammoth 392 for four off their allotted 50 overs .The match was closely fought at the beginning of the NZ reply. They played really well. They scored 334 but they where all-out in 45 overs. So India leads the 5 match series with a 2-0 win with still 2 matches to be played.
