British Gymnast Becky Downie had good news which she wanted to share with the world today.On her twitter the 19 year old olympian wrote
Everything's looking good !! Yay I'm a happy chappy ..... Goodbye cast & hello boot :)))
Downie is recovering from some form of Achilles injury (nowhere have I seen it written as a tendon rupture but it could be a severe strain) She is ruled out of competition currently for the first half of the year.
All the best wishes to Becky in her training and rehab!
On a related note, Beth Tweddle will be featured on BBC 1's Olympic dreams programme tomorrow (Saturday) at 1pm. She will be featured alongside Jessica Ennis and Chris Hoy.
