Full Twist has reported the sad and surprising news that Swiss gymnast Ariella Kaeslin has retired from elite gymnastics. The powerful vaulter who finished 5th in event finals in Beijing, followed this up with European gold and World silver medals on the apparatus. The 23 year old has been a shining light for an ever improving Swiss team and has 3 times been voted Swiss Sportswoman of the year. It will be a great shame not to see her in London.
